Dreaming with the Bear: Discover Mind-Body-Soul Healing Through Active Dreaming, Imagination & Play

Discover healing power of Shamanic Dreaming (February 21 – Live event)

Discover Bear medicine with dream shaman Robert Moss

Did you know that your dream images hold the wisdom you need to make your life more joyous, healthful, and fulfilling — even, and sometimes especially, if they’re from nightmares?

And these images’ power goes well beyond the myth and magic associated with your dreams…

World-renowned dream shaman and bestselling author Robert Moss’ extensive knowledge of dreamwork — he’s written 12 books on the subject — and his decades of teaching have revealed that all dreaming is medicine.

For Robert, re-entering a recurring nightmare with a giant Bear –– through a practice he created called Active Dreaming –– was his call to work as a dream healer. It was also the start of a lifelong connection to Bear as a guide and healer.

On Wednesday, February 21 (replay on Saturday), Robert will show you how you can learn and heal with the help of Bear medicine — and all our animal guides — during a FREE online event: Dreaming with the Bear: Discover Mind-Body-Soul Healing Through Active Dreaming, Imagination & Play.

Lucid Dreaming to take control over your dreams

Lucid Dreaming to Take Control Over Your Dreams

Take Control Over Your Dreams with Lucid Dreaming Practice

Lucid dreaming is a state where the dreamer knows that a dream is occurring and can even exert control over it. Imagine what kind of fun you can have if you can master this technique. It does however, take some skill to get to a level where you can even recognize that you are dreaming.

The first skill to master is relaxation. If your mind is racing about the issue of the day, either for work, home or both, you will have a difficult time getting to a lucid dreaming state. Your conscious will take over and not allow you to recognize that you are dreaming. You still may dream, assuming that you can get to sleep, but won’t be able to know it’s happening.

It’s believed that most dreaming occurs during Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep, which is a state where you are in a deep sleep. Therefore, you want to try to train your brain to know when that is going to occur. It generally occurs 90 minutes after you fall asleep. If you are one to fall asleep easily, you could set your alarm for 90 minutes after the time you normally tend to fall asleep. You probably want to use an alarm that emits light or plays music rather than a sound alarm as loud sounds may keep you awake after the it rings. The idea for lucid dreaming is to immediately go back to sleep. The alarm is used to simply trigger your brain into knowing that you should be in REM sleep when it goes off.

If you don’t have the luxury of setting your alarm to know what point you should be in REM sleep, you can tell your mind before you go to sleep, to wake up in 90 minutes. Our mind does have an internal clock and it will know when 90 minutes have passed. The same concept can be applied in alerting our minds to be aware of our dreams whenever they occur. Simply tell yourself, I will remember my dreams and I will know when I am in a dream state.

If you are aware of your dreams and eventually able to control them, you should know there can actually be an ethical issue of how you behave within the dream. You are dealing with the subconscious mind and as such, could be playing with fire. The general rule is to act in the same manner that you would act as if you were awake. Doing otherwise risks rewiring your brain into believing those actions are proper and correct.

Lucid Dreaming Training

Like many people, I spend a lot of time surfing the net looking for things that pique my interest. The other day I came across something I thought was truly far out there. It was called “Lucid Dreaming Mastery” and it was a series of videos that purported to teach you how to control your dreams.

Now, I’m not just talking about avoiding nightmares or having the ability to remember your dreams more clearly after you wake up. This course actually promised – guaranteed, actually – that you could not only control what you dreamed at night, but also experience your dreams as if you were fully awake the entire time.

Come on, I thought, that can’t be right. Dreams are just something your subconscious spurts out while you sleep, aren’t they? Or sometimes they are just caused by indigestion or something you ate, right?

Boy, was I wrong! I went ahead and ordered Lucid Dreaming Mastery – it was surprisingly affordable – and it started to download immediately.

There were 22 videos, each of them animated in an entertaining and informative format. I have to admit, at first I expected it to be some sort of a joke or a rip-off. Since it came with a money-back guarantee, I wasn’t worried about losing my small investment.

As I made my way through the videos, however, I began to understand the logic in what Lucid Dreaming Mastery was laying out. While I was still skeptical, it all seemed to make sense in a weird kind of way.

Well, I thought, the proof will be in the pudding. If I can apply the lessons I learned in Lucid Dreaming Mastery to my non-waking hours, then it will be for real. If not, well, then I will simply get my money back in the morning.

That very first night I fell asleep quickly. In hindsight, I realize that I was anxious to experience my first lucid dream. I followed the procedures and programmed my mind to make me dream that I was on a tropical island beach. I dozed off and … a few moments later I woke up on a Polynesian atoll basking in the sun of the South Pacific.

Lucid Dreaming Mastery really worked.
