Lucid dreaming is a state where the dreamer knows that a dream is occurring and can even exert control over it. Imagine what kind of fun you can have if you can master this technique. It does however, take some skill to get to a level where you can even recognize that you are dreaming.

The first skill to master is relaxation. If your mind is racing about the issue of the day, either for work, home or both, you will have a difficult time getting to a lucid dreaming state. Your conscious will take over and not allow you to recognize that you are dreaming. You still may dream, assuming that you can get to sleep, but wont be able to know its happening.

Its believed that most dreaming occurs during Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep, which is a state where you are in a deep sleep. Therefore, you want to try to train your brain to know when that is going to occur. It generally occurs 90 minutes after you fall asleep. If you are one to fall asleep easily, you could set your alarm for 90 minutes after the time you normally tend to fall asleep. You probably want to use an alarm that emits light or plays music rather than a sound alarm as loud sounds may keep you awake after the it rings. The idea for lucid dreaming is to immediately go back to sleep. The alarm is used to simply trigger your brain into knowing that you should be in REM sleep when it goes off.

If you dont have the luxury of setting your alarm to know what point you should be in REM sleep, you can tell your mind before you go to sleep, to wake up in 90 minutes. Our mind does have an internal clock and it will know when 90 minutes have passed. The same concept can be applied in alerting our minds to be aware of our dreams whenever they occur. Simply tell yourself, I will remember my dreams and I will know when I am in a dream state.

If you are aware of your dreams and eventually able to control them, you should know there can actually be an ethical issue of how you behave within the dream. You are dealing with the subconscious mind and as such, could be playing with fire. The general rule is to act in the same manner that you would act as if you were awake. Doing otherwise risks rewiring your brain into believing those actions are proper and correct.

Control Your Life With Lucid Dreams

The domain of lucid dreams supplies a more immense stage than average life for almost anything conceivable, from the frivolous to the sublime. Taking all this into consideration, you may ask If the big pharmaceutical companies are lying to us, why doesnt the government step in and do something?. If so, good question, however the answer may frighten you.

The government subsidises illness, they have to, there is too much money in it. Antidepressant drugs are worth over $10 BILLION to the American economy alone and that figure is rising year on year. The government knows this, and will do all they can to keep that figure rising. For instance, in 2007, Hilary Clinton’s Health bill proposal mentioned the words nutrition and exercise just once – the word drugs however, was mentioned 14 times – just like the pharmaceutical companies wanted!

The government is not your nanny, the government is your dealer!

The worst thing about the lies that you are being told though, is that while the drugs companies are making billions from depression without offering a cure, and the governments of the world are encouraging and enabling them to do so, there is a cure.
