Happy as You Want to Be ♫ Join Aug. 8-10 True Happiness event

Almost everyone have heard the hit single ‘Don’t Worry, Be Happy‘ by Bobby McFerrin. The song has a very catchy way of conveying its message of being happy to everyone. Bobby Mcferiin’s simple message surely made a lot of people by telling them not to worry.

Living a happy, resilient and optimistic life is wonderful, and is also good for your health. Being happy actually protects you from the stresses of life. Stress is linked to top causes of death such as heart disease, cancer and stroke.

One of the better things ever said is – “The only thing in life that will always remain the same is change”, and in our life we have the power to make the necessary changes if we want to. Even if we find ourselves in an unbearable situation we can always find solace in the knowledge that it too would change.

Selective, interests focused social networks or relationships are essential to happiness. People are different, accept people for who or what they are, avoid clashes, constant arguments, and let go of all kinds of resentments. If arguments seem unavoidable still try and make an effort to understand the situation and you might just get along with well with

Happiness is actually found in everyone, increasing it is a way to make a life more wonderful and also more healthy.

To be happy is relatively easy, just decide to be a happy person. Abraham Lincoln observed that most people for most of the time can choose how happy or stressed, how relaxed or troubled, how bright or dull their outlook to be. The choice is simple really, choose to be happy.

There are several ways by which you can do this.

Being grateful is a great attitude. We have so much to be thankful for. Thank the taxi driver for bringing you home safely, thank the cook for a wonderful dinner and thank the guy who cleans your windows. Also thank the mailman for bringing you your mails, thank the policeman for making your place safe and thank God for being alive.

News is stressful. Get less of it. Some people just can’t start their day without their daily dose of news. Try and think about it, 99% of the news we hear or read is bad news. Starting the day with bad news does not seem to be a sensible thing to do.

Source of True Happiness A spiritual connection is also recommended. Being part of a spiritual practice group with its singing, sacraments, chanting, prayers and meditations foster inner peace.

Manage your time. Time is invaluable and too important to waste. Time management can be viewed as a list of rules that involves scheduling, setting goals, planning, creating lists of things to do and prioritizing. These are the core basics of time management that should be understood to develop an efficient personal time management skill. These basic skills can be fine tuned further to include the finer points of each skill that can give you that extra reserve to make the results you desire.

Laugh and laugh heartily everyday. Heard a good joke? Tell your friends or family about it. As they also say -‘Laughter is the best medicine’.

Express your feelings, affections, friendship and passion to people around you. They will most likely reciprocate your actions. Try not to keep pent up anger of frustrations, this is bad for your health. Instead find ways of expressing them in a way that will not cause more injury or hurt to anyone.

Working hard brings tremendous personal satisfaction. It gives a feeling of being competent in finishing our tasks. Accomplishments are necessary for all of us, they give us a sense of value. Work on things that you feel worthy of your time.

Learning is a joyful exercise. Try and learn something new everyday. Learning also makes us expand and broaden our horizons. And could also give us more opportunities in the future.

Run, jog, walk and do other things that your body was made for. Feel alive.

Avoid exposure to negative elements like loud noises, toxins and hazardous places.

These are the few simple things you can do everyday to be happy.

And always remember the quote from Abraham Lincoln, he says that, “Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.”

brain health & memory loss solution

How to Improve Your Memory & Prevent its Loss

stop memory loss solution - brainpillThose first signs of slipping memory can be a little alarming – especially if you know the dreariness of that route. You may first see it in your 40s, or even younger, with memory loss symptoms like slower facial recall or where you left your keys.

What groceries were you supposed to buy? Wait – you forgot your grocery list at home.

While it’s normal to forget things on occasion, it’s a pattern to watch. The makers of Brain Pill natural memory supplement believe it’s important to keep your brain active. Challenge your memory – just like a muscle, give your brain a good workout daily with these memory-boosting tips courtesy of Brain Pill:

Use Your Memory DailyYour brain needs a workout just like the rest of you. It’s a case of ‘use it or lose it’, so use your brain every day. Try crosswords, for example, or read a section of the newspaper you’d normally skip. You might also take a different route to work, for example, or learn another language or how to play a musical instrument.

See Your Friends – You’re not an island, dude. Depression and stress can both lead to memory loss, which is why you’ll want to socialize often – especially if you live alone. Be with others and take them up on their invitations. Life gets better when you do.

Organize Your Life! – You lose points with a cluttered home because you’re more likely to forget stuff. So make lists and notes of appointments and things to do in a special notebook or on your calendar. Heck, download an app on your iPod and write down what needs to get done. Speak it out loud too, to reinforce it in your memory, and check-off your tasks when completed.

While we’re on the subject, try to stay focused on the task at hand and limit distractions. You’re more likely to recall information if you concentrate specifically on that rather than multi-tasking. Put another way, focus on what you want to remember later and you’re in better shape to remember it quickly.

Sleep Well – Shut-eye helps your memory. Most adults need seven to eight hours of sleep each night. So make time for adequate rest – go to bed earlier if you have to and work on your sleep hygiene. Your memory will thank you when you try to remember stuff the next day.

Eat Healthy – Do you see a pattern here? Your memory likes healthy living. That extends to your diet, with plenty of fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Opt for low-fat protein, like fish and skinless poultry. Drink plenty of water too, and watch the alcohol intake.

Exercise DailyThis boosts blood flow throughout your body. That includes your noggin. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity (like walking) each week, says the Department of Health and Human Services, or 75 minutes of something with greater intensity, like jogging, though even a few 10 minute brisk walks per day will suffice in a pinch.

Stay in Touch With Your Doctor – Chronic conditions can affect your memory, to say nothing about the rest of your health. So follow your doctor’s recommendations, be it for depression, your kidneys or anything else in your medical history. Review your medications often with your doctor as well – some medications can reduce your memory.

Alzheimer’s the most misunderstood, cruelest and costly of all diseases…

Are you concerned about brain health? Or, of one day not recognizing your closest friend? If so, or if you care about friends and family members dealing with poor brain function, don’t miss The Alzheimer’s and Dementia Summit. Brain disorders, including memory loss, are fast becoming the single biggest health problem in the world.

This event represents a unique opportunity to discover how to prevent, slow down and even reverse the symptoms of Alzheimer’s and dementia. Join us to find out what you can, and should, do before memory loss is irreversible–because taking action now is the key to protecting your brain health and overall wellbeing!

Supplemental solutions

We can’t end an article on how to improve your memory without mention of Brain Pill natural memory supplement. That’s because it’s simply rocket fuel for your brain; a cognitive booster with clinically proven nootropics like cognizine, vinpocetine and ginkgo biloba, which increase alertness and blood flow in your brain.

Introducing BrainPill - mind boosting natural nootropic supplement

Try Brain Pill

Studies also suggest the ingredients in Brain Pill enhance and may even protect memory. They don’t call it ‘Your Unfair Advantage’ without good reason – better memory is linked to higher cognitive function. Your brain is more efficient with a sharp memory, which gives you better intelligence, and the financial and social rewards that go with them.

>> Try Brain Pill risk free to improve your memory. Combine it with the memory-boosting tips we’ve discussed in this article, and you really do have an unfair advantage. Your memory will like it too, and you may finally have a solution to that pain-in-the-butt issue of where you left your keys!

Meditation

How Can Quick Meditation Quiet Your Mind and Change Your Life?

How Can Quick Meditation Quiet Your Mind and Change Your Life?

What precisely is meditation? It would appear that so many people nowadays are set up with this kind of activity. By definition, meditation is often utilized to describe the individual’s state of intense attention by using an object of awareness or thought. The individual tries to turn his / her attention inward. Meditation is considered of Vedic Hinduism origins. This is usually practiced inside the eastern religions nevertheless now even the actual western culture is involved in this kind of activity.

People want to employ meditation to be able to focus their mind to God for their personal development, to attain peace of mind, and to possibly be healthier.

Many Americans at the moment are involved in some form of meditation. According to Time Magazine there may be one meditation practice which they can use by almost anybody. This can consider as the basic primer of Americans needing to begin meditation but have no idea where to start off.

There was a book published last November 2005 published by Victor Davich that is all about the 8 instant meditation. If you buy the book as well as study it thoroughly, you will learn lots of things about meditation, and you’ll do it in only 8 minutes.

Almost every person that starts with anything new to him or her will often get lingering questions, hope, and doubts concerning this. There are even people that hopes that when they begin to meditate, they will likely be enlightened. Or perhaps you’re among those individuals who imagine that meditation is just like an exercise or diet you’ve been trying to perform for recent years months. But these items are normal; so don’t be surprised for anyone who is also like that.

The best action to take is to face every one of the positive and/or negative expectations, and after the process, forget about them you need to with a thoroughly clean slate. If you need to try the 8-minute program of meditation, you should figure out how to approach it one minute at a time.

While many people imagine that meditation is a straightforward practice, then you’d better think. You might not really notice it, your mind is constantly racing from in this article to there. You cannot concentrate. According towards the book’s author, you will need to watch your air. This is the initial step to yoga. Do your inhalation and exhalation through breathing deeply. Should you always do this and just keep on doing, you can come to be good in yoga.

As a concept of reminder, in the event you catch yourself thinking of other things, or in other words your mind strays off, focus again on your own breathing. After almost all, meditation is about concentrating and in the event you realize that you’re not on the right track, you can always come back to that mind-set gently. Don’t get discouraged easily and just keep on doing. There is a common saying that says practice makes best; so always keep that as the primary goal. If you give up easily, then you can remain a quitter.

Meditation will help you in achieving peace of mind. With all your problems at work, with your loved ones, and the entire world, you should at least experience a few minutes of peace daily. If you want to keep your inner-outer mind-soul balance, projecting yourself into better visualized future, meditation should become your special daily exercise.

Improving Yourself Tips – Life is in Motion – Exercise

Improving Yourself Tips – Life is in Motion – Exercise

our Habits make us

Working on your personal development can be very overwhelming, but just like anything else, it can also be very easily researched and applied. Now that you have found this list of tips, hopefully, you can come out a little more informed when it comes to personal development. You can refine your plan and become a better person.

Generalizations are the enemy of your self-improvement and success. Examine your thought processes to see what negative, general beliefs you hold about yourself. If you say in your mind that you “always fail,” etc., this is not accurate. Even if it was only one time, you have succeeded in the past! Remind yourself that the future is bright and self-improvement is possible.

Learning a new skill is a great way to stretch yourself and improve the quality of your character. What’s more, perfecting a hobby, technical skill or artistic form may be challenging at first, but if you master it, you will gain a sense of accomplishment, purpose and enjoyment. What’s more, you add to your pool of leisure activities and make yourself a more rounded human being.

While going through the many emotional crisis that can occur in your life, some self help suggestions always help. Although, while trying to help yourself mentally, it is as important to take care of yourself physically. Healthy eating and exercise will leave you with many more positive thoughts than you had before doing such.

Improve your life by cleaning up “your world.” Avoid being messy and living and working in a cluttered environment. By keeping your spaces clean and in an orderly fashion, you can find everything you need. You will no longer stress out about things being lost. This can bring a sense of calm and peace to your mind.

Exercise! Choose any physical activity you like or ever wanted to try… Whether you do simple exercise or modern fitness, Modern Yoga or Modern Qi Gong, just keep moving. Life is in motion, matter is a type of energy, and hence it is not static.

A crucial part of any personal development program is to take special care in providing for your own physical needs. Exercise regularly, get adequate sleep every night and enjoy a healthy diet to help you continue your personal growth. A healthy body makes it easier to concentrate on personal development, even though it may be a challenge.

To cope with depression, exercise! Walking is a great form of exercise and a brisk walk can do wonders to lift your spirits. Don’t neglect strolling! Taking a leisurely stroll after dinner each day, can help you relax and unwind. Take time to look and really see all that is around you. Seek the positive in all things.

To help you improve yourself personally, exercising everyday is essential. Exercise can help you improve your focus, enhance your ability in a variety of sports and generally improve your health and well being. Exercise is also key to personal development since exercise releases endorphins, which are a mood enhancer and promote a more positive outlook on life.

Not as bad as you thought, correct? Like any other subject, the world of personal development is vast and has a wealth of information available on it. Sometimes, you just need a little hint as to where to begin with it so that you can begin. Hopefully, you have received just that from the tips above.

Developing an Exercise Regimen That Makes Sense to You

Developing an Exercise Regimen That Makes Sense to You

exercise regimen

Why does the word “exercise” bring up so many negative connotations? There is no absolute rule that says it has to hurt… at all. You can very easily get in a good workout everyday and literally LOVE every second of it! The secret is, you’ve got to discover what it is that YOU like to do. And the menu you get to choose from is virtually infinite.

If something is keeping you from engaging in a physical fitness routine, even though such a routine can positively and dramatically impact your life and the lives of everyone who loves you, then it is of extreme importance that we figure out exactly what that something is.

Is It Time?

There is no doubt that the modern human’s life is hectic. It can be difficult to make time for the things we really want to do. And because exercise is usually such a low priority for people, they simply go on about their busy lives, doing the best they can to get by. So essentially, lack of exercise isn’t a time problem at all. It’s a priority problem. Your health should be priority #1 above ALL other things. Without your health, you are dead. Nothing else really matters if you let your health go.

A brisk walk or light jog just half an hour each day can set you up for a surprising transformation. Share in the fun by having activity days with your family. Heck, it can be every day. Go to the park and have foot races. Play some basketball or two-hand touch. Go swimming. Move, move, move! If you’re having fun, you don’t even have to label it exercise. You can just say that you’re – are you ready for this? – PLAYING!

Is It Money?

As we just discussed, you can “go out and play” as often as you like and it won’t cost you a dime. However, I fully realize that to get a supercharged workout, joining a gym is a great way to go. And yes, gym memberships, fitness clothing, and even home workout gear can cost a good amount of money. But don’t let this fact stop you from doing the fun, free stuff. It shouldn’t be an excuse not to exercise. Instead, it could be a goal of yours to join a gym after you’ve gotten yourself nice and addicted to physical activity! It’s all in the way you look at it.

Even if you would like a deeper, more concentrated workout, there are no laws stating that you’ve got to join an expensive health club to get it. You can walk up and down stairs, climb a steep hill, or simply do some good old-fashioned calisthenics. Likewise, good eating habits can often be developed solely through the use of common sense. Want proof? Are fresh vegetables good for you or bad? Is fresh fruit good for you or bad? I rest my case.

It is worth remembering that it’s not the process that really matters, but instead it’s the goal. Start small and work your way up. Don’t let ANY excuses keep you from taking care of yourself.

Once you’ve started to build momentum, invest in some cheap workout gear (yoga mat, dumbbells, etc.). This is good for you not only because you’re investing in useful tools, but also because you are establishing a new identity for yourself as the kind of person who buys fitness equipment and takes care of their body!

The Psychological Effects of Health and Fitness

Of course, the benefits of getting and staying in shape extend well beyond the scope of mere body transformation and physical longevity. A healthy body is a body that virtually cannot get locked into a depressed or anxiety-ridden state. Good health is Nature’s finest mood enhancer. Natural endorphins, along with cell regenerating oxygen become more and more plentiful the healthier you become. This alone can have you feeling dynamite nearly around the clock!

In addition, a stable exercise regimen can work wonders on your overall stress levels, making it easier to cope with life’s hardships and to relax. It can also help reduce or eliminate sleeping troubles. For anyone whose life seems to be in the dumps, and things just don’t seem to be working for them, I would suggest physical activity as their absolute first line of defense. Move your body and you move your life in the right direction.

For individuals who are highly complacent and maybe haven’t exercised in years, go small and build. Bounce on a mini trampoline for 8 minutes the first day, 10 the next, 12 the next, and so on. Once you can do 30-45 minutes with no problems, start jogging or running on a treadmill. Within a few short months you can be an absolute rock star. You just have to get started.

There is nothing you can achieve now that you can’t achieve at a higher level with a fit, healthy mind and body. In other words, there are no legitimate reasons to not go for it, and tons of reasons to just get out there and move!

Half an Hour. Breathing and Sweating. Is It Enough?

Half an Hour. Breathing and Sweating. Is It Enough?

exercise

Q: Can exercising just a half hour a day really provide you with any significant benefit?

A: Of course it can!

In fact, it doesn’t even have to be intense exercise. Something basic and light can have profound positive effects on your health and wellness. The challenge for most people is that they don’t think they can find the time. But the truth is, a little bit of consolidation goes a long way. You can pedal away on a stationary bike as you watch television. Want to bond with your kids? Ask them about their favorite movies or bands while you shoot hoops together. Or simple go for a brisk walk and eat an apple during your lunch break.

Your Health – The Most Important Thing

There is no better reason to exercise than just for the simple fact that it keeps you healthy and extends your life. It doesn’t take as much effort as some of those popular tv shows would have you believe, either. Some is ALWAYS better than none, and it really doesn’t take much physical activity to profoundly benefit the essential body systems and keep them functioning properly. A solid diet and exercise program can add years to your life, and ensure that those extra years are good ones!

Your Appearance – Another Great Motivator

Nothing says attractive like a healthy, vibrant body and a positive, energized, endorphin-rich personality! Exercise helps you feel more attractive in many ways, and on many levels. You look more fit and tone, you move better, you present yourself differently, you feel differently, and the list goes on and on.

There are many noticeable ways in which a consistent exercise regimen can enhance your life. At the top of this list is the sense of accomplishment you will enjoy. This comes as the result of you making a commitment, following through with it, and experiencing life-changing results because of that. There really is no finer feeling.

Obviously, transformation also occurs at the physiological level. More endorphins in your blood, more oxygen in your brain, more strength in your muscles… These things feel really, really good. This is why some people will actually never skip a day of exercise in their lives!

Mental and Emotional Benefits

It doesn’t just stop with a radically enhanced self-esteem. Regular exercise can lower stress levels in dramatic fashion, while simultaneously heightening your mood and overall sense of well-being. For one, it gives you time to stop thinking about the stressors in your life and just focus on things such as your breathing, your heart rate, and the sense of pride that goes along with actually doing something good for yourself. And when you work your body out, it thanks you by allowing you to become fully relaxed while it recovers. It’s a win-win on all levels.

Enhanced Mobility and Range of Motion

As you become stronger, more flexible, and more oxygenated, you may notice that your body is moving better than before… a lot better. This is just another of the many great benefits that a mere 30 minutes of daily exercise can bestow upon you.

You will start feeling more playful. You may find yourself bending in ways you haven’t bent in years, which is especially great if you’ve got smaller children around. Few things are as depressing as not being able to play with your five-year-old child or grandchild because you’re unable to keep up or move right.

There is no single right way to exercise your body. Do what you like. Change it up. Swim one day, shoot some hoops the next. It doesn’t matter. The important thing is that you get yourself to move. Just start. The finishing will take care of itself.
